👉 Expected Knowledge

10+ years of relevant IT experience, 5+ years of experience in hiring,
developing, and managing high-performance development teams;

Hands-on leadership experience in software architecture, design, and
technical advisory;

Experience in working both in outsourcing and product companies (200+
people);
- Regular speaker in public conferences / courses (optional);
- Fluent English.

Main Focus

Company: implement best practices in the Delivery department and
assist other members of the management team with their technical needs.

Commercial Projects: ensure smooth operations of development teams
and take ownership in technical escalations.

People: ensure a meritocracy of ideas and growth of top talent
(interviews, hiring, onboarding, mentoring, evaluation, promotions, etc.).
High Impact

Sales: staff new projects and ensure their success; lead
operational part of Binary services map transformation.

Binary Studio Academy: become an Academy evangelist and ambassador
internally (for developers, PMs and other managers) and externally (in
public talks and materials).

Internal Products: assist in launching company’s own product
portfolio by leveraging Academy resources.
1. Company:
-
Redesign cross-functional processes for scalability and eliminate bus
factors for the key positions (in the company and on commercial projects).

Redesign Delivery org structure: refine roles and their responsibilities,
engage and mentor involved Binarians.
-
Research market trends and demands and keep the management team current on
new developments and opportunities.
- Assist in adopting security standards.
2. Commercial Projects:
-
Help coordinate available human resources and fulfill PMO and Sales
departments’ requests.

Provide on-demand advisory. Recruit new and mentor current advisors
(Practice Leads).

Mentor and monitor the PM team (until the company decides to hire a Head
of PMO).

Become a single point of projects’ escalations and coordinate their
resolution (until the company decides to hire a Head of PMO).
3. People:
-
Lead and coach the Delivery team (130+ engineers).
-
Design, implement and help maintain human resources processes with the HRD
and People Operations department (and adjust to the demand of current
customers, prospects and market trends).

Advise the management team and tech leads on escalations and problems.
-
Design tech skills' evaluation frameworks, adopt PDP culture and maintain
newly created processes.
- Recruit, grow and promote top performers.

Engage and develop internal tech community - design and implement related
activities.

Design training programs and systemize knowledge sharing processes.
-
Mentor Recruiting team (both recruiters and interviewers) on headhunting,
suggest recruitment process improvements and coordinate their
implementation.
4. Sales:
-
Coordinate the Delivery part in the pre-sale process.

Ensure a smooth start of new projects (train teams to start projects,
formalize and standardize project start processes, staff new projects).

Help transform the company's business model, expand our technology stack
and services we provide.
5. Internal Products:
-
Work with the CEO and Academy team to design and implement the Binary
Ventures initiative.
-
Develop a “product mindset” among the engineering team to better fit our
clients and our own future goals.
6. Binary Studio Academy:
-
Support and provide advisory service for the Binary Studio Academy team
(Head of BSA and Head of BSA (Delivery) - on strategy, other roles - on
demand).

Coordinate a post-academy hiring plan according to the market demand.
